Support Tunnels, how do they work?
What is the support tunnel?
The Support tunnel is an easy and secure way to give Micro-Nova access to your AmpliPro.
This allows us to provide diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software issues. By using a support tunnel, authorized Micro-Nova engineers can gain secure, logged access to your AmpliPro. By using this capability, the engineer can significantly reduce the time and effort required to resolve issues, eliminating the need for multiple email volleys or phone calls.
How do I use it?
- In the app (Android, iOS, or web) navigate to: Settings -> Updater -> Support Tunnel
- Click the ‘Request support tunnel’ button
- Copy and paste the details in the text box then send them to support@micro-nova.com
Is it safe?
Without the contents in the support tunnel text box, it is not possible for Micro-Nova to access your appliance. And after two weeks, the tunnel automatically closes. The tunnel uses state of the art cryptography to protect your appliance. If you would like a more technical discriptions of it check out the source code, or documentation on the VPN we use.
